Synopsis Hope 2013 Korean Movie
Tragedy of a 8 year old girl coping with a gruesome rape damaging her internally and affecting emotionally tries to overcome all obstacles that are about to happen in her life aftermath of the incident with a good support from her family and those around her.
My views
The most beautiful movie I have ever seen. The entire movie is made so serene and beautiful that you would find it hard to say anything. The scenes and emotions would neither make you cry nor angry but just rip out your emotions and feelings which would be like the relationships and emotions where words aren't even necessary. This movie was epic of emotions. When Lee Re ( little girl) says ' Is that you dad?' to the mascot I just couldn't stop crying. Amazing direction, a plus acting, excellent direction, excellent makeup of the bruises. One of the top movies! I wish everyone should see the movie. Best Movie ever!

A story about love between a mentally ill father and his lovingly adorable daughter. Which is her father, accused of murder and rape.
My views
Miracle in Cell No. 7 is an truly heartfelt comedy movie. We see the connection between a mentally ill father and his adorable daughter. Although her father is mentally ill we can still see the  undeniable love between them. Behind that, there is an tragical engaging story of the father accused of murder and rape of a small girl aged almost same as his own daughter. It's fun to watch the prisoners depicting their own unique character. This is definitely one of the best Korean movie out there filled with tears and laughter's. Very well thought and very well executed.

A Brand New Life

Synopsis A Brand New Life 2009 Korean Movie
Inspired by her childhood, French-Korean filmmaker Ounie Lecomte recounts the emotional journey of a little girl abandoned by her father in an orphanage.

My views
Life can appear very strange, when no-one is there to explain it. Especially when you're a child and you have plenty of questions. This is a big question which started the day when a father, with no explanations left his daughter at an orphanage. A Brand New Life takes its spectator to childhood - to a time when we asked many things and perhaps got no answers and no explanations why things happen exactly this way. The acting from everybody, including all the small children, was very good and believable. They seemed honest and innocent, including the adult supporting characters. A Brand New Life is hope and search for the answers through and through it.

Synopsis Hearty Paws 2006 Korean Movie
A young boy steals a puppy for his younger sister's 6th birthday.

My views
Hearty Paws is a heartwarming tale of a family broken down to a brother, his young sister and a dog that they adopt into the family on the sister's sixth birthday. They face many hardships and the brother finds himself in a heartbreaking, traumatizing loss. He blames this on his dog and finds his way to his abandoned mother, not realizing that the dog was the one true family that would never leave him. The subplots and sadness outlines this movie. It is definitely one of the best, heart warming movies I have ever seen and definitely recommend to EVERYONE who is in the position to have your heart won over by this beautiful tale and dog.

Synopsis Hansel and Gretel 2007 Korean Movie
After meeting an mysterious girl on an dark stretch of road, a young salesman is invited to a beautiful house with bizarre secrets and no way to escape.

My views
Eun-soo, a salesman, meets with an accident, which leaves him stranded in a dark forest. He follows a girl carrying a lantern and enters a house that holds some strange and terrifying secrets. All of the actors are brilliant, particularly the three youngsters at the heart of the story. They are very convincing in their roles and add some emotional weight to the film. Overall, I would highly recommend this film to anyone that wants to see an original story that is full of imagination. A credit to the genre.

Flu

Genre: Drama, Thriller

Synopsis Flu 2013 Korean Movie
The opening scene shows a group of illegal immigrants that are being prepared to be smuggled to South Korea inside a shipping container. As they are about to be sent overseas, one of the traffickers notices people coughing. After the immigrants deny any illness, he seals the container which is then sent to Korea. 9 days later, on May 1, the container reaches Pyongtaek harbor, and is transported inland.

My views
A deadly flu, is about people. Persons become exposed, some contract it and all react differently to it. An influx of illegal immigrants in a Korean city, opens Pandora's box and unleashes a virus in town. The central theme of the story is the dual battle of the female doctor; the struggle to develop an antibody and keep her daughter safe. Perhaps the lady doctor's efforts might form the main body of this movie, although the gravity is carried in her adorable daughter's tiny shoulders. Her forcefulness and vulnerability will take the audience to a mighty emotional journey.

Synopsis Train To Busan 2016 Korean Movie
While a zombie-virus breaks out in South Korea, a couple of passengers struggle to survive on the train from Seoul to Busan.
My views
While a zombie-virus breaks out in South Korea, a couple of passengers struggle to survive on the train from Seoul to Busan. "Train To Busan" is more than just a zombie film. First of all, the acting is spot on. All the actors are doing a tremendously great job, but for me, little Soo-an Kim totally nails it in one of the best child actor performances I have ever seen. The zombie actors are also truly exceptional and they manage to spook you, without having to rely on heavy prosthetics and rotting flesh. If you are a fan of zombie films you will definitely enjoy this horror gem.

Synopsis Silenced 2011 Korean Movie
Romantic Comedy about Identical Twin Sisters falling in love with the same boy.

My views
Based on real events, this film depicts the story of a school for the hearing-impaired where young deaf students were sexually assaulted by the faculty members over a long period of time. The child actors were amazing. Because they had to portray deaf and mute children, they had to rely on their facial gestures, sign language, and sounds. They were simply amazing at depicting complex emotions. South Korea is pretty lenient with sex offenders in general, and this movie caused an uproar in South Korea about sex crimes.
